This begins as the story of a young man (shonen) without powers in a world where 99% of the world’s population has powers or some kind of unique trait, a “quirk”.  A world without The Greatest hero in the galaxy- if not the universe: Who died on the same exact day as his late father. The era of gods has passed, the reign of monsters has come to fill the power vacuum. The young man’s name is simply “Izuku Midoriya”, his middle name is rarely spoken & only by his mother, Inko. Much like the canon, his goal is to be a “hero” but not the title or prestige of a “Hero” according to the state, he seeks to use the school to sharpen himself to actually serve as a genuine hero like All Might; he doesn’t want to emulate his father, the connection isn’t there but admiration remains.
